HOW FLATIRONS EQUESTRIAN CENTER WAS CREATED

Trish Tomas and Levi

Trish Thomas, was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri Kansas City and then William Jewell College where she graduated with a degree in Psychology.
A large part of her family was from Colorado, and she made many trips there to visit in her early years. Eventually, she made the move to Colorado in 1999, and brought her horses with her, which, at that time, was just a hobby for her.

Trish started to enjoy sharing her knowledge about horses with friends, and discovered that people really enjoyed it. As more and more people began to ask for her instruction, she started a small side business in the year 2000 with just a few horses. Two of them, Bailey and Chloe, still remain a part of her family.

When Trish moved into the location in Louisville, Colorado, things began to grow from there. The word spread amongst the community about the equestrian center, and more and more people came to take riding lessons, board horses, and attend one day and weekly camps.
After a couple years there, she began hosting schooling shows.

All of these programs are still going strong 13 years later, as it remains a full time business, Flatirons Equestrian Center, aka FEC. The program now consists of over a dozen schooling horses and ponies of all breeds and sizes, including a small herd of miniature horses, and a well experienced staff.

Trish has had the pleasure of working with so many people. She loves helping the local community turn their interest and curiosity in horses into a hands on reality and love for them, adding to a growing number of great members to the equestrian community.
